The Gentleman

The Gentleman is a character who appears in Episode XLIV: The Princess and the Bounty Hunters

Character outline

The Gentleman was stated by a local barber to be a "Nice fellow, but deadly". He's a bounty hunter who killed many people in the past, and eventually came after Jack. Despite the job he does, he is, in fact, a very calm and classy individual who speaks very eloquently using big words and phrases, which were shown to be able to confuse those less intelligent around him (like Boris, another bounty hunter). He's also a man of his word and has respect towards his fellow bounty hunters. His weapons of choice are a pair of knives, and his own cloak. He catches his "prey" by challenging them to a duel. His tactic is to throw his cloak towards his opponents, confusing them and blocking their view of the Gentleman. Then, he throws his knives through the cloak, which are meant to deliver the death blow to the unsuspecting target.

Biography

The Gentleman arrived at a small cottage to the north, in order to kill Jack. There he met several other bounty hunters, including Princess Mira. After describing his tactic to kill Jack to everyone, the Gentleman was informed by Mira that his tactic would never work against someone as skillful as Jack. At that point, he joins forces with the other bounty hunters, as they attempt to destroy Jack together. The plan was for them to ambush Jack as he's walking down a snowy path. The Gentleman did his part, throwing his cloak and knives at Jack like he did against all his previous opponents. Jack, however, dodged the knives and the cloak with hardly any effort and killed the Gentleman with a quick slash of his sword.

Skills and abilities

Master Knife Thrower: The Gentleman uses a pair of knives to quickly kill his target by throwing the blades at the opponent's chest. He's extremely accurate, being able to hit a small leaf while it was blowing in the wind. His knives are very sharp and he himself stated that he can throw them so hard they "fly faster than any bullet".

Tracker: As most bounty hunters who were after Jack, the Gentleman is also a good tracker, who managed to find the location in the woods where Jack would be passing through and wait for him there.
