Samurai Jack Wiki

The Description[]

The Wily Jub-Jub is a plant used against the Tango Beast After Jack . It is a red small plant as big as a human finger with tiny green leaves on its tiny petioles. Its leaves can be easily flown away once someone smells it.

According to The Scotsman The stench of the Wily Jub-Jub Plant is what the Tango Beast hates more than anything else. A single whiff sends the beast into an aggressive mindless frenzy.

Before the episode this plant appeared in, the Tango Beast was terrorizing a town, which led to a confrontation with Samurai Jack. The Tango Beast left a scar on Jack's chest, but was completely defeated.

After the fight, Jack had a heart-to-heart chat with him. With Jack's help, the Tango Beast realized that his actions were the result of trying to make himself feel better about his low self-esteem. He was inspired by Jack to get his life back on track, and Jack continued his way.

Later, Jack was cursed by The Three Sirens, suffering through amnesia and believing himself to be a normal man named "Brent Worthington." The Scotsman was trying to restore Samurai Jack's memories, and went to the Tango Beast's cave along with Jack after seeing the scar the beast had left on him. The Scotsman had a sample of this plant that he used to determine his presence at his lair, which made the Tango Beast come out of his cave aggressively and roared.
